Rubber Clutch is often used when the back of the pin is going to touch skin
Safety Pin Backing | Tie Tack Backing | Magnet Backing | Extra Butterfly Clutch
These backing options incur an additional run charge.
Safety pin backing keeps the pin in place and prevents it from spinning.
Tie-Tack backing, commonly known as a jewelry clutch, is one of the most secure backing choices. It is a lock backing that holds the pin in place and can only be removed by releasing the spring.
Another common backing type is magnet backing, often used to prevent holes in clothing.
An extra butterfly clutch is used when the pin is too large or off balance to give it stability.
